Carroll Howard Fletcher, born July 31, 1943, to the late Dorsey and Lottie Mae Fletcher, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 30, 2026. Carroll was a proud United States Army veteran stationed in Korea a service he carried with quiet honor throughout his life.

Following his military service, Carroll built a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and skill. He was a respected master carpenter who constructed many homes throughout Tennessee and North Carolina. He was especially known for his love of woodworking and found great joy in creating meaningful pieces for others, always willing to give his time and talents to help those around him. He was a 1962 graduate of Johnson County High School.

Carroll was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anna Sue Fletcher; his brother, Edward Fletcher, and his step-grandson, Dean Guy.

He is survived by his sister, Joyce Silvers (David) of Lacey Springs, Alabama and Sister-in-law Pansy Fletcher. Carroll shared a special bond with his niece and "Bestest Buddy" Kimberly Banner (Robert). He is also survived by his nephew Johnny Fletcher (Angie) nieces Denine Williams (Bill) and Heather Carlton.

He is further survived by his stepdaughter, Samantha Guy (Jack) step-grandchildren Austin Guy, Savannah and Maggie Buckles (Zac), step-great-grandchildren Raelynn Buckles, Emily Guy, and Elenor Guy.

Carroll also leaves behind many great-nieces and nephews, including Kodi Fletcher, Sadie Fletcher, Allison Williams, Sydni Thomas, Clay Fletcher, Shepherd Liv Fletcher and Arron Carlton, along with many cherished great-great-nieces and nephews

He is also survived by his dear and longtime friend, Terry Gregg, whose friendship he deeply treasured.

A faithful member and former Deacon of Sink Valley Baptist Church, Carroll lived his life guided by faith, humility and love for others. He dearly loved his cats, Kitty and Scooter, who brought him comfort, companionship, and joy.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Steve Dugger officiating. Music will be by Donald Davis. Active Pallbearers will be Tom Snyder, Rick Snyder, Kodi Fletcher, Robert Banner, Clay Fletcher, and Terry Gregg. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Fletcher, Tim Laws, and Eddie Perry.

Carroll will be remembered for his kind spirit, strong work ethic, devotion to family, and the

lasting legacy he leaves behind in both the lives he touched and the homes he built. Military Honors will be provided by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
