Carolyn Ruth Hartley, 80, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord Friday, November 21, 2025 at her residence. She was born May 11, 1945 in West Virginia to the late Tine & Missouri Crain Hartley. She had lived most of her life in Tennessee. She was a homemaker. She loved playing all types of music, sewing and carpentry. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters.

Survivors include her sister: Kathy Norris and husband Frank. Several nieces and nephews.

A Service to Celebrate the Life of Carolyn will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kim Casey officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons Cemetery. Music will be by Shirley Ward. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
