Carol Lynn Short, 54, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1969 in Dover, Delaware to the late Fred A. Short, Sr. and Yohallo Winchester Short. She had lived in Elizabethton for 34 years. She was a graduate of Garden High School in Buchanan County, Virginia. She was employed at Advanced Call Center (ACT) as a Supervisor. Carol was preceded in death by a sister: Teresa Tressler.

Survivors include Two Children: Brittani Proffitt and Justin (McKenna) Proffitt. Three Grandchildren: Kyriee McPherson, Lehanni McPherson and Kanann McPherson. One Brother: Fred A. Short, Jr. and wife Candace.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on 7 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Wayne Winchester officiating.
