Obituary

Bryan Richard Burleson, 91, Elizabethton went to be with his Lord Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born February 16, 1934, in Hartford, Maryland. He had lived most of his life in Tennessee. He was a graduate of Cloudland High School. Mr. Burleson served in the United States Army. He was a retired Truck Driver. He was a member of West Side Christian Church and former member & Elder at Gap Creek Christian Church and Buffalo Valley Christian Church. He loved collecting trains, woodworking and doing odd jobs. He had served on the Board of Directors at East Tennessee Christian Home. He was raised by Clate and Myrtle Burleson.

Survivors include his wife of 64 plus years: Jane Taylor Burleson. Three Children: Richard (Cindy) Burleson, Cindy (Claude) Robinson and Keith (Becky) Burleson. Five Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. His four-legged buddy "Jules."

A Service to Celebrate the life of Bryan will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Greg Key, Minister officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section). Music will be provided by John Robinson. Pallbearers will be selected from the church and friends. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. The family would like to express a special thank you to members of the West Side Church and friends for their support and prayers.
