We are sad to announce the unexpected passing of Brian Baird, 51, Hampton passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023 at Vanderbilt Hospital following a brief illness and surrounded by those who loved him unconditionally. Brian attended Hampton High School. He had a special gift of working with his hands, which turned into a career. Brian was a hard working successful stone mason with many of his works featured in several different magazines. Brian was loved by everyone that knew him. Brian's kind heart and great sense of humor always shined through no matter the situation. In his spare time he enjoyed being outside, enjoyed working on old cars and trucks and spending time with his family. He was of the Baptist Faith. Brian was preceded in death by his mother: Shirley Nunley Baird.

Brian was born to Jerry and Shirley Baird on March 21, 1972 in Elizabethton, Tenn.. Brian is survived by two brothers: Richard (Tracy) Baird, Mark (Melissa) Baird, Son: Coen (Mattie) Powell, Granddaughter: Kennedy Powell and grandson on the way, and several aunts uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at Memorial Funeral Chapel at 3 p.m. Monday, April 03, 2023 with the Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Burial will follow in the Nunley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service in the funeral home prior to the service.
