Bobby Lee Ray, 69, Roan Mountain passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Robert Lee & Ruby Arnett Ray. Bobby was a graduate of Cloudland High School. He was retired from A.O. Smith Co. after 42 years of service. He loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his wife: Brenda Cutshall Ray. Two Sons: Phillip and Robert Ray. Two Step-Sons: Nathan and Travis Briggs. Three Grandchildren: Emma, Lilah, and Weston Briggs. Two Sisters: Vivian Stout & husband Tom and Kimberly Ray. Several nieces and nephews. His special friend Baby Ray.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:45 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 in the Ray Cemetery, Roan Mountain with Mr. Charlie Yett officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Nathan Briggs, Travis Briggs, Matthew Stout, Tom Stout, John Holtsclaw and Mickey Whitson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Elliott and Charlie Yett. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
