Obituary

Bobby Wayne McKinney, 82, Hampton, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 in the Franklin Woods Hospital. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Arnold & June McKinney. He was a graduate of Hampton High School. He was a retired Forklift Driver at Specialty Tire. Prior to that he worked at North American Rayon Corporation. He loved Baseball and fishing. He was a member of Roan Mountain Masonic Lodge # 566. He was also a member of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Berry McKinney who passed away October 25, 2007.

Survivors include his Daughters: Eileen (Jack) Woodby and Sarah (Brett) Teach. Three Grandchildren: Jessica Woodby, Cameron Teach and Faith Teach. One Brother: Leslie McKinney.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday. November 18, 2024 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Interment will be at 12 Noon Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in the Berry Cemetery. Music will be by Debbie Hyder. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Andrew Cole, Jimmy Woodby, Max Simerly, Steve Simerly and members of Roan Mountain Masonic Lodge # 566.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
