Blanche P. Mackley, 84, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 in the Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late William I. & Vada Kessinger Powell. She had previously been employed in the Housekeeping Department of the Disney World Hotel, Orlando, Fla. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Herbert L. Mackley who passed away November 20, 1999 and three  brothers: Henry. Claude & Carliss Powell. She was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church. She loved being with her grandkids.

Survivors include Two Sons: Herbert W. Mackley of the home and Chad (Angel) Mackley, Westover, Maryland. Six Grandchildren: Zachary, Logan, Dylan, Alysa, Ethan and Evan Mackley. Also several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2024 in Mountain Home National Cemetery (Historic Section) with Pastor Mark Potter officiating. Music will be provided by Lisa Poole. Active Pallbearers will be: Chad, Herbert, Zachary, Logan and Ethan Mackley and Kenneth Powell. The family would like to express a special thank you to Lisa Poole, Jean Payne, Kenneth & Lori Powell and Pastor Mark Potter for their prayers and support during her illness. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 11 a.m. until 12 noon Friday. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at at 12:50 p.m. Friday for the graveside service.
