Billy Hugh
Gregory
Apr 8, 1951 — Mar 19, 2025
With heavy hearts we are sharing the fasting of our beloved father / Papa/grandpaw. Billy Hugh "The Mailman" Gregory, Elizabethton went home to be with our Lord & Savior 3/19/2025. I promise no matter how ready you think you are, you'll never be ready to lose someone you love so much. Billy was born for eight 1951. He was an active lively young man who loved laughing playing jokes clowning around eating and could play a mean head of poker! Daddy was born with a servant's heart which showed through him volunteering to be in Vietnam one of the hardest wars our country to this day has went through. He then turned to the post office, moved to a small town, and delivered mail for the rest of his life walking most of his route and getting to know his customers on a very intimate basis. Most of them would definitely call him a friend. Billy was proceeded in death by his parents Floyd J & Francis Iva Gregory, by his wife Ruth, his oldest son Richard, his daughter Wendy, his sisters Vivian and Phyllis and his brother James who just passed right before. I definitely believe my daddy lived a full life and touched many other lives along the way. He is survived by daughters Missy & her sons, Charity her 2 daughters & son & his son Billy, & his son Eric (Huck), His grandsons Jeremy, Cody, Dylan and his granddaughters Lillie & Beth. His brother Tommy, his baby sister Janet and her husband Martin, special sister in law Evie & many grandchildren, nieces nephews and special friends. Anyone that knew mailman loved him and the rest of him that knew him by daddy and papaw loved him even more rest high on that mountain Daddy we will see you when we get there!!
