Betsy Jo Breazeale Shelton, age 91 of Lenoir City, TN peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Betsy was a devoted wife to Richard Rule Shelton for 37 years and cherished mother to Mary Ann and Beth. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Richard Shelton; parents, William "Bill" Harrison Breazeale and Thelma "Ted" Reece Harvey Breazeale and a sister, Lois Ann Breazeale.

Betsy is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Rev. Kreg) Smith of Butler, TN and Dr. Susan Elizabeth "Beth" (Jonathan) Thomas of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Abigail Kaitlyn Smith of Lenoir City, TN; sister, Mary Davis of Myrtle Creek, OR.

Betsy was a member of First Baptist Church Lenoir City, TN and worked as a secretary at Eaton School of Eaton Crossroads, TN.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 18th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Dr. Dick DeMerchant officiating. Family and friends will proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment with Rev. Kreg Smith officiating.
