April Dawn Counts, 49, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born August 3, 1975 in Carter County. April was a graduate of Hampton High School and Walters State Community College. She was employed at Revida Recovery, Johnson City. April loved going to concerts, country music, and loved her family, friends and animals.

Survivors include her husband: Douglas Lee Counts, Her Parents: Arnold & Linda Hicks Vines. Two Brothers: Kevin Curtis Vines and Joshua Cody Vines, both of Hampton. Also her four legged furry baby, Peanut.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday,  August 21, 2024 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Charlie Biggs. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
