Anna Sue Renfro Worthington, 87, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Life Care Center of Elizabethton. She was born September 1, 1938 in Elizabethton to the late Roy Lee and Romaine Bowen Renfro. Anna was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She was employed as a Cook at Central Elementary School for several years and was also employed at Pierce Grocery. She loved Gardening, loved reading her Bible and loved her cats. She attended North Side Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Walter Worthington and by a brother: James Renfro.

Survivors include her Children: James (Tonya) Worthington, Betty Presley and Toinette Worthington. Five Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren. One Sister: Jenelle Elliott and One Brother: Allen Renfro. Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Whitehead officiating. Music will be by Jennifer Crabtree. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday will be : Dakota Worthington, Lawrence Oliver, Jesse Fletcher, Will Stone, George Bray and Aaron Cole.
