Obituary

Anna Ruth White, 98, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. She was born October 2, 1927, in Shady Valley to the late Winburn & Lennie Swift Lewis. She had lived most of her life in Elizabethton. Ruth was retired from Colvins Market. She loved to quilt and work in her garden. Ruth was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of the Sycamore Chapter # 163, Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Darold White and an infant daughter; Patricia White.

Survivors include her sons: Bruce & Sarah White, Nashville, Tenn. and Lee White, Elizabethton. Six Granddaughters: Katherine Kerekes and husband Ryan, Margaret Estep, Elizabeth Noble & Husband Michael, Meredith White, Rebecca White and Molly White. Five Great Grandsons: Patrick Kerekes, Neven Kerekes, Trevor Kerekes, Baker Noble, and Spencer Noble. A Sister & Brother-in-Law: Wanda & Paul Campbell, A Special sister-in-law: Patty White. Several nieces & Nephews including a special niece, Patty Creasman.

A Service to Celebrate the life of Ruth will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Scott Reynolds. Active Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special thank you to Victor & Judy Deloach and the staff of Ivy Nall Nursing Home for the excellent care she received.
