Alice Marie Wright, 84, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born September 14, 1938 in Florence, Alabama to the late Charles H. & Lelia Bearden Shelton. She had lived in Tennessee since 1967. Alice was a homemaker. Her hobbies were Sewing, Quilting, oil painting and crocheting. She was a member of Moores Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Matoka Love Rasnick and a sister: Rebecca Kramer.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years: Robert A. Wright, Sr.. One Daughter: Nancy Rebecca (Dan) Ledford, Lenoir City, Tenn. One Son: Robert A. Wright, Jr. (Dianne) Wright, Elizabethton. Six Grandchildren: Lindsey Shepard, Daniel Ledford, Samuel Ledford, Debbie Deal, Carrie Hardy, and Connie O'Neal. Nine Great Grandchildren. Her Son-In-Law: Dwight Rasnick. Her Step-Sister: Jacqueline Tuno. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023 in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Ernest Garland officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be: Daniel Ledford, Samuel Ledford, Dan Ledford, Dwight Rasnick, Kalijah Shepard, Esai Shepard and Mike Hicks II. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of the 22 hundred wing of the Johnson City Medical Center, friends and loved ones. Friends may visit with the family anytime at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the Mausoleum of Peace at 1:45 p.m. Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs Wright to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, Tenn. 38105-9959.
