Alfred Lloyd "Alf" Campbell, 77, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Earl Campbell and Mary Williams Campbell Perkins. Alf was a graduate of Unaka High School. He was retired from the Elizabethton Post Office after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Praying Mountain Men. Alf was a member of Lynn Valley Baptist Church but had been attending Pleasant Beach Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Marjorie White Angel Campbell, a brother: Kenneth Campbell, three grandchildren: Justin Lynn Stout, Joshua Carrier and Heather Schultz and a son-in-law: Scott Borum.
Survivors include his wife: Ina Mae Stanbery Bailiff Campbell. One Son: Charles Angel, Charlotte, North Carolina. Three Daughters: Freida Carrier and husband Eugene, Joy Heaton and husband Bobby and Pam Borum. Two Step-Children: Dawaine Stanbery and wife Nena and Dolores Bowman and husband Carl. Seven Grandchildren, Seventeen Great Grandchildren. Three Step-Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. Two Sisters: Margaret Bourne and Cathy Frazier and husband Mike, all of Elizabethton. His Twin Brother: Bob Campbell and wife Betty, Elizabethton. Several Nieces & Nephews.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mark Fowler, Pastor Dennis Wilson officiating. The Eulogy will be given by a daughter, Freida Carrier. Music will be provided by No Name But His. Honorary Pallbearers the Praying Mountain Men, Employees & former employees of the Elizabethton Post Office. The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Amedysis Hospice, and Alana Care. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
