Albert Nave, age 93, Elizabethton passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2026, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, service, and love for the family and community.

As proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with honor. He continued a life of service at home as well, serving the community for many years as a Deputy Sheriff with Carter County Sheriff's Office. He was known for his dedication and commitment to helping others. He also gave faithfully to fellow veterans as Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17. He worked to support and advocate for those who had served their country.

He was a devoted a lifelong member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church, where he attended for more than 75 years. During that time, he served in many ways, including several years as a song leader, where he shared his love for worship and music within the congregation. His faith was the cornerstone of his life.

He loved the outdoors and found great joy in simple pleasures, especially riding his tractor and mowing the fields. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting quail and pheasants. He cherished the time spent outdoors and memories made with friends and family.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. While he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he will be rejoicing on the streets of gold. He will be reunited with the love of his life and beloved children who went before him.

His life was marked by humility, service before self, faith, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Myrtle Stout Nave, by his sons: Steven, Michael and Jeffrey Nave. One Grandson: Michael Lee Nave. Two Sisters: Edith Potter and Edna Winecamp and Two Brothers: Maine Nave and Quinn Nave.

Survivors include his daughter: Robin Markland. Four Grandchildren: Rachel (Stephen) Lewis, Sarah Reedy, Laura Nave and Jenna (Courtney) Markland. Three Great Grandsons: Deaken Nave, Keilon Reedy and Emric Lewis. One Great Granddaughter: Flora Lewis. Several nieces and nephews, including a very special niece Geri Lynn Williams.

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in the Caldwell Springs Cemetery with Pastor Willie Lunsford officiating. Active Pallbearers will be: Stephen Lewis, Deaken Nave, Chris Roland, Chris Long, Lawrence Pierce and Jeff Pierce. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Nidiffer, his church family and members of the Carter County Sheriff Department. Military Honors will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard of the Tri cities.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday prior to the graveside service.
